Death and Writing

Sorry I haven’t been around as of late my wonderful readers. I have been busy writing, enjoying time with my husband, and over the last two days grieving for our beloved fur-baby Twitch who made his trip over the Rainbow Bridge on 2/23.

He was two years old, which is pretty old for a rat and he has been very sluggish lately so we knew it was coming, but anyone who has gone through the ‘waiting for death’ situation knows that no matter how much you know it’s coming, it does not make it any easier to deal with. Having someone or a fur-baby being a part of your life every day and then they are gone (by dying or leaving) is something that takes time to adjust to and I just want to be one of those people to tell you…do not EVER let someone tell you how long you should or shouldn’t grieve for. Everyone deals with death (literally or figuratively because someone leaving your life is still a form of death) differently and you grieve however you need to (as long as it doesn’t harm you or others) and grieve however LONG you need to.

As for writing, I’ve updated Behind the Headlines a little and will hopefully be working on it or a new story that I am working on later today. It depends on how my brain is working.

~Many Blessings~
